Students Orientation Programme

Orientation for our U.G. students (B. Sc. I Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences, Food & Diary Technology and Nutrition & Dietetics) was organized on 7th August, 2023 between 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. During the induction period, Dr. G. R. Pathade, Dean, Krishna Institute of Allied Sciences presented them with some of the important information about the institute, which included the following information: Information about the Institute, Vision & Mission of Institute, Curriculum Aspects- programmes run by the institute, structure of the academic programmes, formative and summative examination system, Research activities of the institute etc.

He also explained about the curricular, co- curricular activities, Extracurricular activities conducted for the students Training and placement of students, achievements of the institute – Pass-out students’ placement in the Industries, Academic Institutes, Research Organization & in Administrative Services (after getting qualified in the MPSC examinations). He also introduced the students with the faculty members, Ph. D. research scholars and Non-teaching faculty in the institute.

The Dean Sir also informed about the Past student’s progression to higher education for Ph. D. in other universities, Research papers published by faculty and research scholars, research papers presented by research scholars and faculty. At the end students were asked to be frank and to get clarified their doubts, if any, and follow the norms of discipline of the University and institute. There was a good interaction between students, Dean, faculty & PhD research scholars.

The students were taken to the round accompanied by some faculty members & PhD research scholars on the campus of the University to make them aware of the locations of the other institutes on the campus like KIMS, KINS, KCP, SDS, KIP and KH & Medical Research Center; particularly its OPD section & Causality section. They were also shown the locations of the other facilities on the campus like Gym, Swimming Pool, Museum, Transport Dept., Auditorium Hall, Central Library, Badminton Court, Food Court, Parking place etc.

Mrs. Shilpa Ruikar, faculty member, KIAS, KVV(DU) expressed the vote of thanks in the program. All faculty members, Research scholars of KIAS, KVV (DU) were attended the program.
