The ceremony of official handover of the joint memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, Maharashtra, India and The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Canada was conducted on 9th of March 2023. Dr. Lyne Cloutier, Professeur, Université du Québec, Canada was the chief guest of the ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad and Dr. M.V. Ghorpade, Registrar, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Dr. A. Y. Kshirsagar, Medical Director, Krishna Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Dr. R. G. Naniwadekar, Medical Administrator, Krishna Hospital & Medical Research Centre graced the function.

Dr. Lyne Cloutier in her chief guests address mentioned the importance of the international research project and MOU that accurate clinical blood pressure measurement as per the standards of American Heart Association in management of hypertension.

Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad in his presidential address emphasized the importance of accurate clinical blood pressure measurement to diagnose, management and prevention of hypertension and its complications and also to conduct a research to develop standard reference range for blood pressure for Indian population.
