KIMS-Inauguration and Handover Ceremony of TrueNat Machine
Dist TB Centre & NTEP Cell, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences
On July 7, 2025, the TrueNat Machine was transferred to the NTEP Cell, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, from Sub-District Hospital, Karad, under the guidance of District TB Officer, Dr. Sachin Patil. Following installation and testing in the Department of Microbiology, the machine began processing sputum samples on the same day.
The inauguration ceremony was performed by Dr. Y.R. Kadam, Dean of KIMS, in the presence of:

The TrueNat Machine is a diagnostic tool for detecting active cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and rifampicin resistance. This milestone marks a significant step towards TB elimination.
