Deeksharambh Programme 2026–27 Successfully Concludes at Krishna Institute of Pharmacy
Karad: The Deeksharambh Programme 2026–27 for newly admitted students was successfully organized at Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, from 1st to 7th August 2026. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy.
The programme was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Mr. Vivek Khanwilkar, Vice President, Sun Pharma Pvt. Ltd., who delivered an insightful session on “Global Perspectives of Pharmaceutical Industries.” He highlighted the changing global landscape of the pharmaceutical industry, emerging technologies, the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in drug discovery, drug development, manufacturing, quality assurance and healthcare, research opportunities, industry expectations, and the skills and professional outlook required to succeed in the rapidly evolving global pharmaceutical sector. He encouraged students to remain updated with emerging technologies and develop the knowledge and skills required for the future of the pharmaceutical profession.
Dr. Vinita Khanwilkar, Guest of Honour, guided the students on making the right choices, selecting appropriate career paths, and achieving professional success. Dr. H. N. More, Principal, also addressed the students on the diverse career opportunities available in the field of pharmacy.
Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, delivered an inspiring session on “Mindset Development for Professional and Personal Growth.” He emphasized the importance of a positive and growth-oriented mindset, self-confidence, discipline, consistency, and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities. He encouraged students to believe in their abilities, set clear goals, and pursue continuous self-improvement for achieving success in both their personal and professional lives.
The week-long Deeksharambh Programme familiarized students with the University and institutional environment, academic structure, examination system, placements, research opportunities, career pathways, and various student support mechanisms. Expert sessions were conducted on anti-ragging awareness, gender sensitization, mentoring, competitive examinations, NCC/NSS, clinical pharmacy, technology-based learning, and student welfare activities.
For the holistic development of students, Dr. Dilip Patwardhan, Former President, Jeevanvidya Mission, Mumbai, delivered a special session on “Work-Life Balance: Key to Success.” He highlighted the importance of skills, gratitude, a positive outlook, and a balanced lifestyle for personal and professional success. Special sessions on yoga and meditation, personality development, soft skills, and communication skills were also organized.
Students also visited the Animal House, Incubation Centre, various departments of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, and different University departments, gaining firsthand exposure to the academic, research, and innovation facilities available at the University.
Another highlight of the programme was the interaction with Ms. Reshma Mate, an alumna from the first batch of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy. She shared her academic and professional journey and encouraged the newly admitted students to make the best use of available opportunities and achieve success through consistent effort and dedication.
The programme concluded with an enthusiastic Fun Fest, which promoted friendship, interaction, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging among the newly admitted students.
The successful organization of the Deeksharambh Programme was made possible through the valuable guidance and support of Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Neelam Mishra, Chief Advisor to the Chancellor Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chief Advisor (Academics and Accreditation), Registrar Dr. M. V. Ghorpade, and other University officials.
Under the leadership and guidance of Dr. N. R. Jadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, the programme provided newly admitted students with a positive, inspiring, and enriching beginning to their academic, professional, and personal development journey. The successful coordination and implementation of the programme were effectively carried out by the Coordinators, Dr. Akshada Koparde and Mrs. Pallavi Karanje.
