Venue -Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Karad
Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Karad, under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), proudly organized Alumni Meet 2025 on 3rd June 2025 at the institute premises. The event witnessed a vibrant gathering of 122 alumni from various programs, including Basic B.Sc. Nursing (85), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (24), M.Sc. Nursing (7), and M.Sc. (N) NPCC (3) and PhD (3).
The meet was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Mahadeo B. Shinde, Vice-Principal; Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti A. Salunkhe, Dean Academics; and Dr. Prakash Naregal, Co-Chairman, Alumni Cell, KINS. Other esteemed faculty members present were Dr. (Mrs.) Nutan Potdar, Convener, Student Support & Progress Cell; Mr. Tejas Bhosale, Secretary, Alumni Cell; and Mrs. Sheetal Kadam, Convener, Teaching-Learning Cell and Mrs.Manda Phuke co-ordinated the event.
The program commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of the dignitaries by presenting saplings as a symbol of growth and gratitude. Dr. Prakash Naregal formally welcomed the alumni and extended appreciation for their continued connection with the institute.
The interactive session between the alumni, faculty, and students created a nostalgic and emotional atmosphere. Alumni fondly shared their memories of campus life, highlighted the value of clinical experiences at Krishna Hospital, and acknowledged the role of faculty guidance and student support services in shaping their professional journey.
A cultural highlight of the event was a soulful rendition of “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna” by Mr. Agaha Faiaz, an alumnus of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Batch 2011. He shared heartfelt reflections on how KINS played a pivotal role in building his career and personality.
Dr. Mahadeo B. Shinde inspired attendees by emphasizing the importance of higher education and advanced career opportunities post-M.Sc. Nursing and NPCC programs, both in India and abroad.
Dr. (Mrs.) Jyoti Salunkhe encouraged alumni to make their alma mater proud through continued professional dedication and excellence.
Dr. Prakash Naregal, in his address, highlighted the various activities conducted by the Alumni Cell, such as:
Alumni Guest Lectures & Webinars Career Guidance Seminars (AIIMS, DMER, DHS, etc.)
International Licensing Exam Preparation (NCLEX-RN, CRNE, MOH, Prometric, DHA, HAAD)
Language Proficiency Training (IELTS, OET, German)
Virtual interaction sessions between alumni, students, and faculty
The meet concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Prakash Naregal, marking the end of a memorable and enriching gathering.
